Is there a pause button?
Yes. After starting the tour, you have 48 hours to finish. During that time, you can pause and continue whenever you want.
A friendly tip: if you are a competitive player, we recommend skipping the breaks. Your playing time affects your final score and ranking.
Does it work on Android and iPhone?
Yes, the walking tour works on both iPhone and Android. You can download the app (for free) through the AppStore and Google Play Store. The link is shared in the confirmation email, after booking.
You can remove the app from your device when you have completed the tour.
Is there also an option to play with a guide?
No, we are only offering the 'self-guided' experience of this tour. Trust us, it will be fun regardless!
What will I learn about Aruba?
You will learn about the origination and history of the island. You will walk past historic highlights, but also discover many "off the beaten track" spots that typical tourists do not see.
The interactive tour is split into three 'timeblocks'. Each block is about a new part of Aruba's history. The stories in these blocks are told through the eyes of 3 unique characters.
The interactive (real world) puzzles will make sure that you get home with lots of fun facts!
Are the puzzles difficult?
The level varies per assignment and puzzle. When working together as a group, they should all be do-able.
The tour and puzzles are suitable for families with kids.
Do I need to make a reservation?
No, reservations are not required. After purchasing the tour through our website, you can redeem your unique code whenever you want. In other words, you choose what day and time you start.
Friendly tip: due to the warm temperatures we advise you to play in the morning or afternoon (after 16:00).
What do I need to bring?
You need a few things during the tour:
- A charged phone (with our app installed)
- A powerbank (if your phone has a weak battery)
- Water
- Sunscreen
Can I skip the puzzles?
Would you like to learn about the culture and history of Aruba without solving puzzles? Our tour is more than suitable!
You can easily skip puzzles by entering a "blank" answer (such as a space). Our app will detect this and give you the full historic experience regardless. You will not miss information nor skip locations.
